Grain & Grit Brew for Local Boy’s Charity

WHERE THE HEARTS ARE WARM, TORONTO – Hamilton’s Grain & Grit Beer Co. announced on Instagram yesterday that they’re brewing a beer to support a local boy’s charity fundraising.

Max is a seven year old boy who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder which doesn’t allow muscles to develop as intended. His parents, Andrew and Kerri, have already raised over $140,000 over the past three years through other local fundraisers, and have teamed up with the brewery to create a beer that will help spread more awareness and further their fundraising efforts.

Max’s Big Beer will be a milkshake IPA with peach and vanilla – two of Max’s favourite flavours – and 50 cents from every can sold will go to Jesse’s Journey, a Canadian charity dedicated solely to funding research related to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The planned release date for this special brew will be the beginning of the 2018 Max’s Big Ride on June 11th.
