ETOBICOKE, TORONTO – Big Rock Brewery announced on Instagram their latest barrel aged creation, a lambic style kriek. They used spontaneous fermentation in their custom coolship as well as Canadian grown cherries, and then aged it for 16 months in wine barrels to create a beer that has a balance of sour and sweet with a clean finish. The final product comes in at 7.4% abv. Pre-orders for pick-up are available now for this limited edition release, set to arrive on February 8th for $18.95 (!) per 650 mL bottle.
