First Release Ready from Goose Island Toronto’s Barrel Program

OLD TORONTO (DOWNTOWN), TORONTO – Goose Island Brewhouse Toronto announced on Instagram the first release from their local barrel aging program. Mature Situations comes in at 9.7% abv. and is a Belgian tripel that was aged in Niagara Pinot Noir barrels with 60 lbs of blackberries, 3 kg of buckwheat honey, and 300 g of lemon peel per barrel for the Brettanomcyes Bruxellensis yeast to munch on. Pouring a deep rose gold with notes of blackberry jam, citrus, and Brett funk, it is fruity and funk with loads of oak character and refreshing acidity. Available tomorrow on tap and in 750 mL bottles.
