IT’S NAME IS HAMILTON, TORONTO – The recently cancelled Canadian American Beer Festival that was to be held on the American side of Niagara Falls in April has been split up into two smaller events on each side of the border, and the Canadian location is to be held in Hamilton.
The event was to be the first of its kind where nearly 20 American breweries collaborated with 20 Canadian breweries to brew unique one-offs. Unfortunately, due to an unexpectedly insurmountable issue pertaining to import laws (boo!), the beers brewed in Canada could not cross the border in time for the event. But good beer cannot go wasted, so the event was split up into two smaller ones for this year.
The Winking Judge in Hamilton has been tapped to hold the event for the Canadian side on Saturday, May 5th from 2 to 6 pm. The $50 tickets can be purchased through the craft beer bar and includes unlimited samplings of the collabs. Check their website as more details emerge.
